Description
Dutch dramatic-coloratura soprano Marene Elgershuizen finished her Bachelor’s degree in 2013 within the “Excellence Program” at the Prince Claus Conservatorium. She received her Master’s degree from the Conservatorium of Amsterdam and the prestigious Prince Bernhard Culture Fund, the VSB Fund and the dr. Hendrik Müller Patriotic Fund. She studied with Kammersängerin Gabriele Schnaut and well-known dramatic soprano Janice Baird. Marene has won several prizes. The Labberté-Hoedemaker Prize and Full Scholarship, first prize in the Euregio Vokalisten Wettbewerb, Heek-Nienborg (Germany). In 2015 she received the prestigious Wagner Stipendium of the Richard-Wagner Verband Berlin-Brandenburg.
