Description
Ephraim van IJzerlooij (1983) is an allround cellist. Together with his two musical brother's Immanuel (1986) en Christoph (1989) Ephraim forms Van IJzerlooij Ensemble. They where invited to play together at a masterclass from Yo-Yo Ma in 1999. It was broadcast on television.Ephraim collaborated in 2006 with Sofia Gubaidulina on the implementation of her "Am Rande des Abgrunds", during the Cello Biennale Amsterdam. Van IJzerlooij Ensemble plays a versatile repertoire with o.a. classical music from Glinka, J.S. Bach, J. Haydn, L. Boccherini, W.A. Mozart, J. Brahms, Z. Kodaly, B. Bartok.
